Garbage collection is provided by West Central Sanitation of Willmar.    Phone: 320-235-7630, or 1-800-246-7630.  Residential pick up is on Friday. Have the cans to the road by 6:30 a.m.  Recycling is scheduled for every other Friday at the same time as your regular garbage pick-up.  You may buy tags at City Hall if you have more than you can fit in your garbage can.  Tags are $2.75 for each additional 30 gallon bag or 35 pounds. 

Reminder:  If there is a major holiday during the week, garbage pick up will be moved to Saturday.

The Brooten Airport has a paved, 3500' runway.  Gasoline facilities on site and a  courtesy car is available.

Please call (320) 346-2200 for non-emergency concerns.   This number is not long distance for Brooten residents.   BBPD (Belgrade-Brooten Police Department) serves the City of Brooten as well as the City of Belgrade and patrols both areas.  Call 911 in case of an emergency.
